Enrolment process

Kindergarten-Year 6 – 2024 start:

We accept Applications for Enrolment throughout the year in all year levels. As a Public School, our enrolment process is structured by the Student Enrolment Policy and Procedures as set by the Department of Education.

Our Principal convenes an Enrolment Meeting each Tuesday, where Applications for Enrolment are considered. If approved at this meeting, families are invited to a Meet and Greet with a member of the Leadership Team. This is an opportunity for us to meet your child/ren, and provide information about our school, while also getting to know you and your family.

We know that starting at a new school can be a mix of emotions for families – nervousness, a need for information, as well as excitement and anticipation. Our process has been designed to support families and children to have the best start at Adam Road PS. We know that if their teacher knows a few little things about them on their first day, it helps children to have a sense of belonging in their new classroom. We will therefore recommend a commencement date a few days after the Meet and Greet, so that we can make sure everyone in our school is ready to welcome your child.

Kindergarten - 2025:

Our school structures Kindergarten classes based on the number of enrolments we receive. Enrolments for Kindergarten in 2025 will be invited from our community from June onwards.

Once we have received your child’s application, we will begin our process for prioritising acceptance. You will be informed as soon as possible about the outcome of the Application.

Pre-Primary – 2025:

All students enrolling in Pre-Primary are required to complete the Application for Enrolment process as it is the first compulsory year of schooling in WA. Enrolling in Kindergarten at Adam Road PS does not guarantee a position in PP for the following year.

Enrolments will be invited from our Kindergarten students in June for 2025. Alternatively, parents of Kindergarten students can complete the Application for Enrolment linked here and submit it to the office.

New enrolments – 2025:

Applications for Enrolment for 2025 commencement can be made from June onwards. These Applications will be considered at our 2025 Enrolment Meetings which take place every two weeks from July.

Local Intake Area

Our school prioritises and guarantees enrolment for children within the following Local Intake Area:

North – South of the extension of West Road and Goldsmith Street from the ocean to Bussell Highway.
East – The centre of Bussell Highway
South – The centre of Hudson Road
West – The ocean

The College Grove suburb, whilst not considered part of our Local Intake Area, does not require students to cross a school boundary, and therefore Applications for Enrolment are commonly approved from this suburb.
